Julie Seberry Talks About Julie Seberry

My name is Julianne (Julie).  I was born in Norfolk, Va, in 1958.  I partially grew up in Florida and graduated High School in New Jersey.  Following graduation in 1977, I moved to Florida and have lived there ever since.  As a child, I have always seen spirts, and my dreams had always come true.  I was blessed with one child, a daughter, who is autistic, now 23 years old.  She, like myself, has been able to see and experience the other world.  I know this higher power is of the lord, and has been my guide to everything I've done with my life including art.  Several years ago, I was told to recycle and help the discarded furniture and items, and make them become a part of someone's home.  And that the  'future of art' has evolved into 'usuable art'.  Either they use it as furniture, or use it to read and become inspired at their time of need, or visually allow the people to see the deep love they still have, and not lost.  I have also been inspired to do consignment pieces for people who want me to allow themselve's to be expressed through me.  I have followed the words that were told to me and passed them onto others.
I do art on almost anything like boxes, canvas, board, wood, etc; using oils, pastels, acrylics, pen/pencils, etc.
The folk art I do is an extention of you--and will allow you to look, read, touch and feel, and use.  But most of all---'It's another level of how God shows us the gift of love.'
