Myrtice West (1923 - )

Myrtice West is an apocalyptic artist from Northeast Alabama. She often depicts end-time events in her work and is famous for her "Revelation" and "Daniel" series of works, which are chronicled in the book "Wonders to Behold: The Visionary Art of Myrtice West" (see bottom of page.) Myrtice was a close friend of the Reverend Howard Finster and like him, she tries to spread the gospel through her art. Unlike Howard, she pretty much sticks to Biblical Themes, drawing from literal interpretations of end-time events such as the rapture of the church, the millineal reign of Jesus Christ, the great tribulation, etc...

Here is a very impressive group of work by Myrtice West. Please click on the piece name or image to see a larger detailed image as well as dimensions and pricing.
