Jerry Coker (1938)

Jerry has no formal art training and paints mostly with acrylic on board, cardboard, and cast-off materials. His masks and paintings are extremely colorful and lean toward impressionism.

He was born in Arkansas in 1938 and currently resides in Florida.

A natural painter, Jerry is also known for his "Identity Masks" usually created from found materials. The Arkansas Art Center in Little Rock put on a one man show for Jerry entitled "Face Value" which peaked interest in his work nationwide. Jerry has since been featured in numerous exhibitions and has won awards at the Kentuck Festival of the Arts. Jerry's work is alsoin several important collections including that of Microsoft.
