Chuckie Williams (1957 - 2001)

Chuckie Williams referred to himself as "Artist Chuckie." He was born in Caddo Parrish, Louisiana, and mostly painted famous people (usually African-American entertainers) in house paint on cardboard. While living, Chuckie would hang his works on the outside of his house to catch the attention of passers by. Chuckie was discovered by Lewis Kalmbach in 1988.

His pieces are usually large averaging 24 inches square, and they are usually artist framed. He also painted sports figures, landscapes, flowers and animals. Chuckie ,in his words "became a genius" when he was 22. He signed his works in many ways including "Artist Chuckie," "Painter Chuckie," "Psychic Talent," "Christ True Genius," or "Ghost Talent." The name of the subject usually appears on the painting as well.

Chuckie passed away suddenly in 2001.

Chuckie's work is highly collected and appears in many prominent collections.
